The City of De Smet has a new text alert system for sending urgent and important text messages to you.  If you would like to sign up for the text alerts, please stop or call City Hall at 605-854-3731.  The first time you receive a text message from us, arriving from79041, you will also receive, as a separate text, an invitation to continue receiving texts. It is important that you reply YES to that text message.   If you do not reply to it, you will not receive further text messages.  If later you decide you want to start receiving text messages, you can always text the word YES to the short code number 79041.
