CITY OF DE SMET
DEPUTY FINANCE OFFICER
The City of De Smet is accepting applications for a full-time deputy finance officer position. Duties involved are as follows: serve as office receptionist; prepare utility bills, collect and record the receipts; process permit applications; assist with bookkeeping functions; prepare and maintain municipal records; prepare correspondence; perform duties of Finance Officer in his/her absence; and perform other such duties as needed. Must possess the following: high school diploma or GED with accounting education and/or accounting experience; computer skills with word processing and spread sheet experience; and the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with employees and the general public. Must be able to pass a drug & alcohol test. Salary DOE. Benefits include paid holidays, health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, SDRS membership, and vacation/sick leave.
