The De Smet Swimming Pool is located at:

513 Loftus Ave SW
De Smet, SD.

The pool opens June 1, 2025 (water temperature permitting)  and closes for the season on August 15, 2025.

Pool Hours:
Sunday - Friday: 1 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. & 7 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.  
Saturday: 1 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Inflatables - July 4th & August 15th

Doggie Night - August 15, 2025

Daily Admission
4 and under: FREE
Children: $2
Adults (18 & older) $5

Season Passes
Individual: $50
Family: $100

Session 1: June 30, 2025 - July 10,2025
Session 2: August 4, 2025 - August 14, 2025

Swimming Lesson Time Schedule
Level 1 & 3: 5-5:30 p.m.
Level 2 & 4: 5:30 - 6 p.m.
Level 5 & 6: 10 a.m. - 10:45 p.m.

Cost: $25/ student
**Children wanting to start Level 1 must be beginning kindergarten in the fall.

In Case of Bad Weather
Swimming lessons will be cancelled by 4:15 PM on that day. Please call the pool (605.854.9122) after that time with questions about whether the session, for that day, will be held. Please refrain from calling City Hall, as they will not receive information regarding lessons until this time as well.

Additional Info
Children 6 years of age and under are not allowed into the adult pool without an adult or an accomplished swimmer age 13 or older who have passed swimming lessons through Level III.  All children wanting to swim in the adult pool must present a copy of their birth certificate upon signing up for lessons, purchasing pool passes or daily admission to the pool.  The pool staff must have a copy of or have been shown a birth certificate for your child to enter the pool.
